Dabakarn Koorliny: Going Slowly

🕓 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm📍 River Room 1 (Lv 3)
After a full day of fast ideas, new tools and big conversations, this closing keynote invites you to do something different: slow down. Drawing on Noongar ways of knowing, being and relating to Country, Rhys Paddick shares how ritual has always been a way to pause, listen and act with intention. Through story, gentle movement and shared practice, you'll experience Aboriginal culture not as something to learn about, but as something alive and practised every day. We'll explore a simple idea: culture is created by what we repeatedly say and do. That's true on Country, in our teams and in the tech we build. You'll leave feeling reset, grounded and ready to take the day's energy home with you.

It's such a privilege to be able to run this conference and DDD Perth would love to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which DDD is created, presented, and shared, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
