Building Software for Humans Who Are Already Busy
🕓 1:25 pm - 1:45 pm📍 Cygnet room (Lv 2)Most software is built as if users are focused, patient, trained, and ready to learn a new system. In reality, users are busy, interrupted, under pressure, and just trying to get their actual job done.
Busy users often won’t have time to help you design the perfect system. They can usually only show you where the pain is. This talk is about turning that pain into software that fits real workflows instead of creating more friction.
We’ll cover practical ways developers can reduce cognitive load, improve defaults, automate repetitive work, make handoffs clearer, increase adoption and support human judgement where it matters.
