Beyond the Hype: What Quantum Computing Can Teach Us About Responsible Technology Governance

Quantum computing is often discussed through its technical potential: faster processing, optimisation, scientific discovery, financial modelling, cybersecurity disruption, and transformation across industries. But emerging technologies also raise important governance questions long before they become widely adopted. Drawing from my co-authored published research on ESG and quantum computing, this talk explores why organisations need to think beyond technical capability and consider responsible adoption, risk management, regulatory readiness, ethical implications, sustainability, cybersecurity impacts, and long-term business value.
