A PM and a Dev Walk Into an Epic
🕓 1:25 pm - 1:45 pm📍 River Room 2 (Lv 3)
Two people, one stage, an argument every team has had. A developer and a product manager turn the daily dev-vs-PM standoff into a fun talk — then quietly hand you a real method underneath the banter. The ticket said one thing; the business meant another; the demo proved it. We show how we fixed it for good: acceptance criteria as the contract, and an AI agent running them as black-box UAT against intent, not code. Possibly the most fun you'll have at a talk about user acceptance testing — admittedly, a low bar.
Speakers
Bright Qi
Building with AI agents. Sharing what actually works.
Bright Qi is a software engineer who builds products with AI agents and helps others figure out where AI actually fits — not the pitch deck version, but the part that runs in production. He writes Practical Playbooks on Substack and runs the Practical Playbooks Club, a Perth community for practitioners turning AI into real workflows.
Jimmy Li
Software Engineer (AI & Automation)
Jimmy Li is a Software Engineer specialising in AI & Automation. His career spans the full spectrum of modern software — from early-stage startups in China, to backend engineering at ByteDance (the parent company of TikTok) on multi-tenant SaaS platforms serving B2B customers, to his current focus on AI-native systems in Australia's regulated FinTech space. Jimmy holds a Master of Information Technology from The University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science. He has led teams at four hackathons — including a Runner-Up finish at EcoPulse 2025 and the WA Health Hackathon — and actively builds open-source full-stack AI products in his own time.
