Open Observability

🕓 1:45 PM - 2:30 PM📍 River Room 2 (Lv 3)
Our applications are becoming more complicated with distributed services, event driven architectures and our traditional logging and monitoring approaches are just not enough any more. Open Telemetry (OTEL) opens the door to the next generation of application observability tooling. In this talk Jake will take you through where our traditional approaches start to fall down, and why so many companies are joining together to work on OTEL. You will leave with a solid understanding of the benefits of OTEL in your applications and how to get the most out of it.

It’s such a privilege to be able to run this conference and DDD Perth would love to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which DDD is created, presented, and shared, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
