Binar Satellite Software. First WA CubeSats

🕓 3:10 PM - 3:30 PM📍 Room 6 - Victory Lounge (Lv 2)
We’re a space program, building the next generation of Australian small spacecraft, at Curtin University’s Space Science and Technology Centre. Binar will advance our understanding of the solar system and lower the barrier for operating in space. The first WA CubeSat was launched in 2021 and 3 deployed late August. Binar spacecraft are designed and assembled in Western Australia. We use commodity electronics manufacturing processes to build capable spacecraft, rapidly and repeatably. In this talk we will discuss the software tools we use to achieve these milestones with advice and lessons learned.

It’s such a privilege to be able to run this conference and DDD Perth would love to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which DDD is created, presented, and shared, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
