The next generation of Tech Professionals will be our Juniors and Graduates of today. The early days of an IT career can feel overwhelming with the radical upskilling of technical skills required to succeed.
In the past three years, Vicki pivoted her career into IT as a Trainee, then a Junior and recently promoted to Consultant.
Vicki brings a unique perspective to this journey as she has previously also managed teams that included Juniors in other industries. If you are a supervisor or a mentor, this talk will provide practical take-aways for you.
Speaker
Vicki Turner
Arkahna Data Wizard
Vicki Turner has worn many hats over her career. Twenty years in administration of varying guises has provided a different perspective when transitioning to a career in IT 3 years ago. Picking up and running with Microsoft Power Platform as a Microsoft Trainee with Arkahna was a great ‘in’ to a complex industry. Vicki has used this experience as a stepping stone to data engineering and analytics and is constantly expanding the platforms and tools she uses as a Junior Consultant. Vicki has a passion for communicating in everyday language about how technology can help people improve efficiency in their work.
When not embracing her inner nerd exploring the other worlds of DnD, Vicki enjoys travelling with her husband and hanging out with her adult children.
