Oh no - there have been so many buzzwords over the years. It's hard to keep up with them all and to know which ones to pay attention to. But now this 'GraphQL' one has been around a while and doesn't seem to be going away, and people keep using it and you've got some catching up to do.
This talk is an introduction to GraphQL, covering the basics of what it is and what you need to know to get started. You'll learn how GraphQL differs from REST, why it's popular, and how you can mix it with other trendy technologies - there's probably a way to stick AI in it.

Rebecca Platt
Senior Software Engineer at Bankwest
Rebecca is a developer at Bankwest that is interested in UX, accessibility, self-development, and dogs. She works to ensure there is a common, clear understanding for all users of her systems, as shown by the fact she has been published three times (including in two encyclopaedias), talking about UML. When not working, Rebecca can be found testing other companies products and interfaces (aka, playing video games).
