Software development is often thought of as a hard science, rather than a creative pursuit.
In this talk, I'm planning to challenge that assumption. I'll be giving a practical demonstration of how to use the JavaScript canvas to create artistic visualizations on the fly, using real time data - including human brain activity. I'll also be discussing the creative process behind making art using unconventional tools, and how we can use some of these concepts to our advantage when working with technology.
No artistic (or technical) talent is required to enjoy!
It's such a privilege to be able to run this conference and DDD Perth would love to acknowledge the
traditional custodians of the land in which DDD is created, presented, and shared, the
Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and their connections to land, sea and community.
We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect
to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
