Announcement: DDD WA Annual General Meeting

Well, after a successful conference in 2021 (more details on that to come!) it’s time for us to bunker down for Christmas with family and friends, but not for too long!

Organising a conference the size of DDD Perth requires us to get a start really early in the new year, and one of the first things we have to do is a legal formality (yawn!) — establish the committee for 2022!

So, if you’re interested in being a part of DDD WA, our Annual General Meeting is to be held at 17:30 on the 20th January 2022 (at a location TBD).

If you want to volunteer to help out on the day, or be a member of a team but not take on the full responsibility of being a committee member then you need to do nothing just yet. We will get to you really soon, after we have completed the legal formalities.

If being on the committee sounds like fun to you, then read on!

Office Bearers

We are seeking nominations for the following roles. Please submit your name to the info at dddperth.com email address up to 24 hours before the AGM. The office bearer roles we are looking to fill are:

  • Chairperson
  • Deputy Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

If you think you might be interested, but want to know a bit more before you throw your hat into the ring, feel free to reach out to the people who held these roles last year for a chat! (Rebecca Waters, Amy Kapernick, Matt Ward or Aidan Morgan).

Director Roles

For the 2022 committee we are also proposing a change to the structure of the committee, so we are soliciting nominations for Director positions for the following roles:

  • Director of Sponsorship
  • Director of Conference Content
  • Director of Logistics
  • Director of AV Solutions
  • Director of Online Tech
  • Director of Media

We’re all looking forward to 2022 being an even bigger, better, and more inclusive conference than 2021, and the AGM is the first step on that journey!

It's such a privilege to be able to run this conference and DDD Perth would love to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which DDD is created, presented, and shared, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
